Rastriya Bal Siksha Sadan and Sahid Smarak School have already been closed with the disease badly affecting the students.
A meeting of the stakeholders concerned including District Administration Office, District Public Health Office and District Education Office on Monday decided to close all government and non-government schools in Kushma from Monday to Friday.
According to the District Public Health Office, the disease has not been identified yet. Apart from students, elderly persons have also been affected.
People suffering from the disease develop symptoms such as headache in the beginning, cough and then fever leading to chest pain later, health workers said.
The disease was first seen among students of Shivalaya Higher Secondary School and the Nepal Army barrack, alarming health officials. A team of doctors collected blood samples of 12 patients and sent them to the Central Laboratory in Kathmandu for test.
