At the greetings exchange and unveiling of reporter´s diary program organized by Reporters´ Club Chitwan at Narayangarh on Thursday, President Koirala clarified that the party could not satisfy all aspiring candidates in the election while it has to ensure representation from all castes, religion, gender and class.[break]
The country has already ushered into federalism so the party needs to act on accordingly to ensure representation from all sides, he added.
When asked about rebel candidacy in Chitwan constituency no 4 where President Koirala is fielded, he replied Brahmins and Chhetris are entitled to get 50 per cent of total tickets so how the party could satisfy one and all aspirants.
The party has expelled rebel candidates, he said, urging them to mend their way on time.
Voters´ outlook to rebel candidate will be different, he further commented. He urged rebel candidate Bikas Koirala to cooperate the party in the election upholding democratic norms and values.
Those who are in favour of democracy are also wishing the victory of NC, he said, adding that the party was firmly committed to frame a democratic constitution in the country.
The NC President asked all Congress leaders and cadres to take ahead campaign of drafting a democratic constitution and bringing the country to economic prosperity while keeping democratic norms and values.
The development of village is inevitable for overall development of the country, President Koirala said, adding that the party´s first and foremost agenda is the development of village.
He informed that the election manifesto fo the party will reach to the hands of entire voters within maximum 10 days.
