Minister for Health and Population Rajendra Mahato and US ambassador for Nepal Peter W. Bodde jointly laid the foundation stone of the new blood bank facility amid a function at TU hospital today. [break]
“Seismically resilient buildings, which comply with local building codes and are built to withstand the impact of an earthquake, are an essential step in safeguarding the city’s infrastructure and its population in case of a major earthquake,” the statement adds.
The bank is expected to supply around 75% of the medical facilities and hospitals of Kathmandu valley.
