A Standing Committee meeting of the party at Singha Durbar on Thursday objected the budget saying it has curtailed programs run by earlier governments.
"Programs recommended by UML have been left out," Chief of UML Publicity Department Yogesh Bhattarai said, "We won't let the budget get endorsed."
Leader Bhattarai said former finance minister Surendra Pandey, Bishu Poudel and Agni Kharel will meet PM and Finance Minister.
The meet also agreed to take a 'concrete' decision if their demands are not heeded.
UML has accused finance minister Mahat of not incorporating the UML's suggestions and of disrespecting the party's former leaders such as Madan Bhandari, Pushpa Lal and Manmohan Adhikari in the budget.

On a separate note, the meet concluded that constitution writing will move forward as per the 16-point deal.
"There are some suggestions on naming and finalizing boundaries of federal states. UML is committed for that. New constitution will be made being based on the deal," Bhattarai said.
