KATHMANDU, Aug 10: CPN (UML) Standing Committee member KP Oli has reiterated that there is no alternative to holding the election to the Constituent Assembly on November 19.

Addressing the organization orientation programme organised by the CPN (UML) Kathmandu District Committee here on Saturday, leader Oli said we should not get into confusion regarding the election but should work towards ensuring that it takes place on the slated date.[break]

"The election date has been fixed for November 19, 2013 and it should be held on that very date. The UML is ready to become accommodative on the condition that the political parties opposing the election also join in the election," he added.

He said that the High Level Political Committee has been formed to maintain political control on the government and that it would not be dissolved.

Chief of the CPN (UML) Publicity Department Pradip Gyawali said that the election to the Constituent Assembly was inevitable for writing the constitution and that the Election Commission has already taken forward the election-related works by publishing the election programme.

He called upon the party cadres to involve themselves in the election campaign so as to make the party the largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA) after the election.

Four hundred people including party leaders and cadres are attending the orientation.
