The party summoned Health Minister Khagaraj Adhikari, Health Secretary Santa Bahadur Shrestha and Director of Health Service Department Senendra Raj Upreti today at the party office, Balkhu.
The party has asked the health minister to immediately take action to contain the disease from spreading.Minister Adhikari informed that the disease had claimed 12 lives so far among which five died of swine flu virus. He also said that the ministry had already mobilized a team of specialists and doctors to the infected area with medicines.
Adhikari represents CPN UML in the present government.
