UML Chairman Khanal upbeat on Nov 19 CA poll

KATHMANDU, Aug. 9: CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has said that postponing the Constituent Assembly (CA) election slated for November 19 was not acceptable at any cost.



Talking to media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport on his arrival from the US Friday, the UML Chairman said that efforts would be made to bring the agitating parties on board till the eleventh hour by keeping the election date intact.[break]



He urged all the parties to come together as the country would fall into further crisis if the CA election were not held on time.



During his US trip, Khanal held meeting with the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and attended the meeting of party affiliated Overseas Democratic Forum.



Chairman Khanal said that he held talks with the UN Secretary General regarding Nepal´s stability and continued support for Nepal´s development on behalf of the UN.
