Two women die in Bara elephant attack

KALAIYA, Nov 27: Two women died in an elephant attack at Rupahi VDC in Bara district Monday night.



The deceased have been identified as Sarada Sharma, 45, wife of Methun Sharma of Rupahi VDC-1 and Devika Acharya, 40, of same VDC.[break]



Sarada died after the wild elephant trampled her last night.



Similarly, the wild elephant killed Acharya while she was making attempts to escape after the beast started to demolish the house.
