Transporters, workers decide to resume transport in Biratnagar

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Stating that the lack of transportation has severely affected normal life in the city, transporters and workers have decided to resume the transportation in Biratnagar from Wednesday.

A meeting of the transporters and workers in Biratnagar on Tuesday decided to resume the service.We have decided to resume the service despite all the risks as our business is on the verge of extinction, Nepal Transporters Association Vice-chairman Uttam Raj Chaulagain said.

He has requested the agitating United Democratic Madhes Front (UDMF) to change the nature of the protests. "We have halted our service for the last 80 days," Chaulagain added, "We don't think we can bear any more. Hope Morcha (UDMF) understands our problem."
