"We concluded that there should be only one political party in Madhes as per the will of Medhesi peoples," said TMDP General Secretary and Spokesperson Sarbendranath Shukla. "TMDP calls on all Madhesi parties for the formation of a single Madhesi party."

The meeting also stressed on need for an alliance of social groups comprising Madhesi, indigenous, Muslims and other marginalized communities for their common cause.

TMDP said only the CA can promulgate a new constitution by accommodating the peoples´ wills and called on all political parties to move forward with consensus to remove legal difficulties to hold the CA elections

TMDP has accused ´anti-federalist and anti-republic´ forces of being responsible for the dissolution of the CA.

The meeting also demanded the government to provide free treatments of cadres of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) who were injured during their recent protests across Tarai districts.
