'Timely statute depends on Maoist '

BUTWAL, March 3: CPN-UML leader Pradeep Gywali said that promulgation of the new constitution within the remaining three months depends on honesty of the Unified CPN (Maoist).



The Maoist party should be honest and the Nepali Congress shouldn´t harbor unnecessary doubts for timely promulgation of the constitution, he said speaking at a function in Butwal on Thursday.[break]



Since there is no alternative to drafting of the new statute on time, therefore Congress should join the government, he said.



Talks to bring Congress on board the government are underway, he said adding that a separate security force should not be formed for People´s Liberation Army combatants, but they should be integrated into security forces.
