Addressing the inaugural session of CPN-Maoist, Kathmandu district convention beginning today, Maoist politburo member Hitman Shakya warned the Prime Minister to not cherish the dream to stay longer in power by bringing foreign forces into confidence. [break]
"At the moment when we called on the Prime Minister for submitting the 70-charter demand paper, he told us that handing over the management responsibility of airport and immigration was merely a rumour. His falsity did not exist longer when the Supreme Court issued order to stop the act. Now, the process to hand over the management of TIA to India has been reactivated in a bid to prolong the stay in power," he added.
He argued that they have established a new party with the thinking that revolution was not possible after Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal deviated and quit from the revolution.
Maoist Newa State Committee In-charge, Dinesh Sharma, urged the Prime Minister to end up thinking to prolong own stay in power by serving India.
The convention will elect a new leadership for next term and nominate electoral delegates for upcoming general convention of the party.
