Three prisoners escaped during Gen Z movement arrested

They had been serving a 13-year jail term since September 17, 2017, on a rape case.

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Three prisoners who escaped from the Central Jail of Sundhara, Kathmandu, during the Gen Z movement have been arrested. 



A team mobilized from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Sanjeev Pariyar, 34, of Dhunibesi Municipality-1, Bibek Pariyar, 35, of Thakre Rural Municipality-10 in Dhading district and Rajendra Pariyar, 37, of Churimai Municipality-3 in Makawanpur district. However, they were held in different parts of Kathmandu on Wednesday.

They had been serving a 13-year jail term since September 17, 2017, on a rape case, added the CIB. 


Superintendent of Police at the CIB, Niranjan Datta Bhatta, shared that the arrested ones were handed over to the Central Jail on Wednesday itself.
