The jeep (Lu 1 Kha 2647) bound to Rampur Hospital from Jhirubas by taking a patient fell some 500 metres off the road at midnight.
The District Police Office, Palpa, said that the deceased have been identified as Gunaraj Singh Thakuri, 19, and Dhan Bahadur Pata, 19, of Jhirubas VDC. The injured are receiving treatment at Rampur Hospital in the district.
Meanwhile, the District Police Office, Sunsari, said that two persons died and five others were injured in separate incidents in different parts of the district on Sunday.
Pillion rider Lila Devi Joshi, 52, of Hariharpur-9 in Saptari district died after two motorcycles collided at Madhesa in Sunsari district.
Police said that biker Mala Kumari Joshi, 29, of the same VDC was critically injured in the incident. It is said that Joshi is admitted to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Furthermore, motorcyclist Sabin Rayamajhi, 20, and pillion rider Dipak Shrestha of Sunsari Bhasi have been rushed to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
Likewise, Satya Narayan Pandit, 46, of Amahibelaha-8 was electrocuted while irrigating the field near his house. RSS
