Information officer Khil Bahadur Tamang said India remains the main market for cinnamon and bay leaves produced in Palpa.

Division Forest Office chief Mohan Shrestha said the two forest products have become a major source of income for local farmers, who currently sell bay leaves for Rs 50–60 per kilogram and cinnamon for around Rs 100 per kilogram.

He said sustained production and market expansion could further boost farmers' incomes while promoting exports of forest-based products from the district.
