A person died on the spot and 10 passengers were injured when a micro bus met with an accident in Maldhunga of Parvat district. The vehicle was heading towards Baglung from Kushma of Parvat.
The deceased has been identified as Pradip Sharma of Bajung VDC-6, said police.
Similarly, a seven-year-old boy who was accompanying his grandmother was killed on Tuesday after being hit by a motorbike while crossing a road.
Ankit Shrestha of Dharan 13 was hit by the motorcycle (Ko 4 Pa 3771) at Amarhat at 6 a.m. Shrestha, who was immediately rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences died while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, motorcyclist Shailendra Karki of Dharan 7 has been detained at the Area Police Office, Dharan.
Likewise, a passenger of a night bus that was heading towards Dhankuta from Kathmandu drowned in the Koshi River in Paschim Kushaha of Sunsari district on Sunday morning. Police said Shishir Gurung of Dharan drowned to death while he was going for urinating after consuming alcohol.
