The MPRF chairman was speaking at a function in Janakpur. "They had gone to the extent of splitting the party for the sake of becoming deputy prime minister in the government led by Madhav Nepal," he said, adding that the threats were issued as bargaining chips to join the government.
Yadav said that the so-called Madhesi Morcha has hoodwinked the people of Madhes and its existence will soon come to a naught.
"Such a Morcha comes into existence only at the time of government formation," he said. He also said that his party would join the coalition if the prime minister ensures completion of peace process and constitution drafting.
The co-chair of the party JP Gupta has stated time and again that the party would not join the government. Other party leaders stated that some leaders are using the agendas of the Madhesi people as a bargaining chip for power.
