KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal, Kamal Thapa, blamed the UCPN (Maoist) for trying to impose totalitarianism in the country.

Addressing an extensive meeting of the Sindhuli-Kathmandu Liaison Society in the Capital on Saturday, he said the only alternative to ending totalitarianism was the elections to the Constituent Assembly.[break]

RPP-Nepal Chairman Thapa said democracy in the country was entrapped in crisis as the UCPN (Maoist) made the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML its followers and that instability, anarchism and uncertainty was flourishing in the nation. The meeting also formed an eleven-member new committee of the Society led by Shalikram Majhi.
