KARNALI, Jan 1: Two teenagers were found dead in a community forest in Bhairavsthan, Birendranagar Municipality–4, Surkhet, on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sunita Bhandari, 19, from Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality–3, Dailekh, and Surendra Thapa, 17, from Thantikandh Rural Municipality–2, Dailekh, according to Shyam Prakash Yadav, spokesperson at the Dailekh District Police Office.

Locals, who had gone to collect firewood, reportedly found the bodies hanging from a tree and alerted the temporary police post at Shahid Park, Surkhet. Police carried out a preliminary investigation at the scene before sending the bodies to Karnali Provincial Hospital, Kalagaun, for autopsy.
