Situated at an altitude of 3,962 feet, Bhojpur airstrip has 165-meter runway.
The 45-minute flight will take off every Monday from Kathmandu. One-way fare on the route has been fixed at Rs 4,995 (including fuel surcharge). Similarly, dollar fare for the route is US $132.
State-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is also been flying on the sector.
Tara Air has appointed Lalupate Travel as its General Sales Agent for the segment. “We are hopeful that the operation will help people of eastern region in traveling and transport of food and construction materials," Saral Shumsher JBR, assistant director of Tara Air, said in the statement. The airline have expressed hope that the flight would also help promote tourism in the district.
Tara Air at present is offering scheduled flights to rural destinations like Lukla, Phaplu, Lamidanda, Tumlingtar, Ramechhap, Jomsom and Manang from Kathamandu. The other destinations include Pokhara, Nepalgunjg, Surkhet, Dolpa, Jumla, Simikot and Rara.
