Talks on border security

JANAKPUR, Dec 29: An agreement has been reached between security officials of four districts of the Tarai and India´s Madhubani district to beef up security on the Indo-Nepal border.



The decision was arrived at a meeting of the border security officials in Janakpur on Tuesday.



Cross-border criminal activities have been on the rise recently.



As per the 12-point understanding, both sides would hold police-station level talks every month, exchange information, intensify patrolling, among others.
