Talks, hunger strike simultaneously: NSP chairperson

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Chairperson of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party, Sarita Giri, has said her party would continue talks with the government regarding the election process and her hunger strike, simultaneously.



Chairperson Giri has been staging a hunger strike at Shantibatika, Ratnapark, since August 12. [break]



Speaking shortly to journalists, Chairperson Giri said, "The government called for talks ending the hunger strike. It is positive for the government has called for talks though it is late. But we will take the hunger strike and talks on the election process, together."



"NSP will form a talks-team led by party Vice-chairman and reply the government, immediately," said Chairperson Giri. She had been having regular health check up and that her health condition was normal, now, she added.



Leader Giri has been staging the strike putting forth 30-points demands including the constituencies be delimited based on population and the proportional, inclusive representation ensured in the coming Constituent Assembly election.
