Swine flu alert in Parvat

PHALEBAS, Nov 6: An alert has been issued in Parvat after the swine flu virus (H1N1) confirmed in nine patients suffering from common flu spread in the district for the past one and half week. [break]



Sales of masks have gone up in the district following the detection of the H1N1 virus. According to the District Public Health Office, the patients confirmed with the swine flu virus are kept under supervision and their treatment is underway.







The office said that it also held an all-party meet on Friday so as to prepare a strategy to control the pandemic. It is said the disease is coming under control in the district.



However, it is said it would take few days to open the schools located in the district headquarters Kushma that were shut after the confirmation of swine flu in the district. Similarly, schools based in the villages will also remain closed for a few days considering the infection risk from the students.
