Sujata rules out comeback of monarchy

BIRATNAGAR, July 10: Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has ruled out any possibility of return of monarchy in the country.



Speaking to reporters at the Biratnagar airport on Tuesday, she asked deposed king Gyanendra Shah not to daydream about returning to the throne.



She also said there had not been any agreement made in the past regarding restoring monarchy.



Likewise, CPN-UML Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said the former king is trying to be active again due to the PM´s own ´shortcomings´.



Pokharel, who has arrived in Balauri to take part in a party program, claimed that the next government would be formed under his party´ leadership.
