KATHMANDU,  March 1: For those who have been trying their luck to succeed or want to learn to succeed and not fail at it, MeroJob.com, an online career management site, is bringing a workshop entitled “Success Mantra.” The one-day workshop is being conducted by entrepreneur Ranjit Acharya on Friday, March 4 at Hotel Himalaya in Pulchowk.[break]

“This is a personality development workshop where the participants will be able to realize their potentials and learn the art of positive motivation and encouragement,” shared Acharya, who is also the resource person at the event.

He further added, “People maybe trying but they may not be putting their 100% effort; so the workshop will basically teach the participants about how to maintain their persistence and positive attitude in their endeavor.”

Acharya has been conducting Success Mantra workshops with lots of participants for  the last ten years; but this is the first time that it has been open to public. Such workshops were conducted and limited to corporate houses, colleges, banks, and different organizations before.

“The workshop is basically a holistic approach in developing communication and public speaking skills, negotiation skills, personality development, and it’s everything mixed in one bag,” he said.

The workshop will be interactive with various exercises, talks, sharing of experience presentations, and video displays. The workshop is not only about technical things but a general way of imparting skills and knowledge which can be useful in everyday life. “This is the reason why this workshop will be benefiting people from all walks of life,” said Acharya.

“Start your journey with positive thinking, as it opens doors. And there’s nothing that can’t teach us unless we’re willing to learn,” he said.

Managing Director of MeroJob.com, Sailendra Raj Giri, said, “Our company has been providing recruitment and selection services and human resource consulting for the last eight years. When we recommend people to different companies, what we’ve realized is that we really lack ambitious people, and it’s really hard to find the right persons.”

He further said it is not that there is lack of opportunities in Nepal but what we lack is competent, smart and ambitious people who are ready to commit themselves.

Having attended the workshop of Acharya himself, Giri wanted to share the same experience with the mass. “The workshop is a success mantra for career and life, and since it’s motivational and inspirational and helps people to develop positive attitude, we decided to organize this event. It’s an open event, and people from assistants to managers are attending this workshop.”

Giri, who has conducted such workshops before with Ranjit in various colleges, further expressed, “I don’t get impressed easily, and only a few have that potential to transform people, and I saw that in Ranjit Acharya.”

He further said that people here are caught up in small things and they overlook their potentials and also don’t try to improve themselves.

“Usually, they also don’t get the platform to learn all the things, and so this workshop will definitely help in changing their thinking patterns and help them realize their potentials and also how to make oneself successful.”

Binaya Giri, Zone Chairperson of the Lion’s Club who had attended the workshop of Acharya, shared, “Being a management student, the workshop really helped me realize what success really means. It helped me develop my leadership skills and transformed me. It developed my efficiency and willpower, too. It transformed me and my perception to life in a positive way.”

CEO of Prisma Advertising, Ranjit Acharya is also associated with Everest Toastmasters Club, a worldwide self-service club where the members come together and practice enhancing communications skills. The members of the club come together for practice session every Sunday at Yala Maya Kendra, Patan Dhoka.

The guest speaker of the program is CEO of Mega Bank, Anil K. Shah. The cost of the workshop is Rs 3,500 and is held from 9 am to 6 pm. The total number of participants is 100, and the workshop is open to all.
