Statute to be ready by May 27: Minister Rayamajhi

KATHMANDU, April 8: Local Development Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said economic progress would not take place until political change was institutionalized.



At an interaction programme organized by Bardiya-Kathmandu Republican Liaison Committee, Minister Rayamajhi further said development will speed up after the conclusion of peace and constitution-drafting processes. [break]



´There is no guarantee that all the issues will get settled in the existing context until the change in state power. Therefore, our efforts should be directed towards institutionalizing the agendas put forward by People´s War and People´s Movement´.



Nepal would enter into a new era after May 27, he noted.



Likewise, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Lokendra Bista Magar said that all sides should stressed the need to remove political stalemate as politics governs all other sectors.



Vice-chairperson of National Planning Commission (NPC) Deependra Bahadur Chhetri underlined the need to move ahead by identifying potential development area.



Also speaking on the occasion were Minister of State for Commerce and Supply Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary, CA members Ram Charan Chaudhary, Sarala Regmi and Chiranjibi Tharu.



A documentary based on Tharu culture in Bardiya was also screened on the occasion.
