According to Joshi, YCL cadre Dipak Raj Regmi on Tuesday had approached him for approval of a drinking water project. Then he left Joshi´s office, saying he would return later.
But as he came back at around 4 o´clock, he brought some other people and attacked him with a bottle, Joshi claimed. Meanwhile, Regmi has been arrested for investigation. But his party has refused to take responsibility for the incident. UCPN (Maoist) district secretary Bibek Kumal said the party has nothing to do with the attack on Joshi.
27 kg hash seized in capital
KATHMANDU: Police seized 27 kg of hashish from Comfort Housing Colony at Budanilkantha on Thursday evening. The contraband was recovered during a raid by police at Block 28 ´C´ rented by a Dutch national Nathaliya Keilman.
The owner had asked the District Administration Office Kathmandu to vacate the block after the tenant went out of contact since August. [break]
According to DSP Deepak Thapa, chief of Metropolitan Police Circle Maharajgunj, the contraband was found concealed inside various musical instruments.
Two die in motorcycle accident
LAHAN: Two persons have died in a motorcycle accident in Bariyarpati, Janakinagar of Sahara Wednesday night. Satendra Yadav, 30, and Pramod Mandal, 20, died when the motorcycle (Sa 2 Pa 4953) hit Kataniya bridge. The third passenger Birendra Yadav, 35, was injured in the accident and is being treated in Darbhanga.
