Samrakshan thrashed Rishab Karki 8-2 while Sakshyam edged out Navin Joshi 8-3 in the matches held at the court of Little Angel´s School, Hattiban.
In the U-12 boys´ singles, Abhaya Gauchan defeated Siddhartha Pandey 8-5 and Ivan Lissanevitch secured an easy victory of 8-1 against Aakash Rokka in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, in the girls´ U-12 singles, Geeta Shrestha will take on Sakshi Gurung in the final. Likewise, Aslesha Lissanevitch and Geeta Shrestha advanced into the final of the girls´ U-14 singles after the semifinal matches held at the Satdobato Tennis Complex.
In the U-14 boys´ singles, Neeraj Wagle and Ivan Lissanevitch will vie for the title.
NASA awards motor rally winners
KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Nepal Automobile Sports Association (NASA) on Friday distributed cash prizes to the winners of the First Senior Citizens Moror Rally held on December 12.
The pairs of Kedar Nath Paudel and Mohini Khanal, Sanjeev Kumar Shrestha and Bikash Bajracharya, and Rabin Sharma and Sharad Paudel had secured the top three positions respectively in the rally that began from the Dasharath Stadium and ended at Nagarkot. The winners were given Rs 27,000 and the runners-up Rs 9,000 while the second runners-up bagged Rs 3,000.
Neeta Ghiraiya and Rabin Sharma bagged the awards for veterans´ best driver in female and male categories respectively. Purna Bahadur Chhetri got the award for the best driver while Gopal Budhathoki was declared the best navigator.
