Madhusudhan Upadhyaya, the general secretary of Bansbari Club said on Wednesday that the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has told the club to produce documents by Thursday to back their claims. [break]
Upadhyaya has claimed that two of the players from Snowline School, who play for Three Star, are above 16 years. ANFA Treasurer Birat Jung Shahi said the complaint will be considered if Bansbari Club provides proof, otherwise the case will be dismissed.
Karmacharya, Niraula lead
KATHMANDU: Former Nepal Champion Punyaman Karmacharya and Niraj Niraula jointly shared lead with 4.5 points apiece on Wednesday after completion of fourth and fifth round in the Nationwide FIDE Rating Chess Tournament being held at Makhan. Karmacharya shared point against Niraula in the fourth and beat Badrilal Nepali in the fifth round. Niraula beat Shyam Sundar Shrestha in the fifth round.
FIDE Master Manish Hamal, Surbir Lama, Uttamraj Thapa, and Bikash Kuluju are jointly in second spot with four points each. Sajan Pandey, Sitaram Agrawal, Shyam Sundar Shrestha, Vijendra Singh, Rabindra Shakya, Rajan Puri and Sudip Chatterjee have accumulated equal 3.5 points.
Dhurba Tara into final
ITAHARI: Dhurba Tara Sporting Club secured their final spot in the First Eastern Regional Gold Cup Football Tournament defeating the hosts 11 Arrows Club 1-0 on Wednesday. Arun Shrestha scored the winning goal in 31 minutes. 11 Arrows Club´s Prabesh Katuwal was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
