Lama further said that the statistics indicate the future of sports belongs to school level games and that the NSC is drafting policies for the development of sports at the school level. HISSAN President Umesh Shrestha said that schools play pivotal role in the development of sports and suggested that the NSC must come forward with proper plans and policies.
“Twenty eight ministers have changed since I got involved in the education sector 35 years ago, but none of them realized that schools are the foundation for the development of sports,” said Shrestha. “NSC is taking the right steps now. Better late than never,” he added.
