Kathmandu District Table Tennis Association in association with Morgan International College will organize Third Morgan Cup Inter College Table Tennis Tournament from June 28. Tournament will be conducted in seven different categories-men´s and women´s singles, doubles, team events and mix doubles. Organizers informed that participants from 20 colleges will compete in the tournament.
Rai, Limbu clinch gold
KATHMANDU: Umesh Rai and Shanta Maya Limbu bagged gold in the Second Eastern Sound Table Tennis Tournament in men´s and women´s category respectively on Friday. Rai defeated Jeevan Bista 11-13, 11-6, 15-13. Deepak Rai and Ashish Rai jointly clinched third position. In women´s final, Limbu beat Rama Bhattarai 11-6, 11-6 for the gold. Sunita Koirala and Muna Bhattarai finished in the third position. Altogether 30 players from 13 districts had participated in the tournament.
