KATHMANDU, March 7: KIST thrashed Global College 43-12 on Monday in the Fourth Benoz Memorial Inter-college Basketball Tournament being held at the court of Morgan International College.



Likewise, Kathmandu Valley defeated Pyramid 45-25 as Aman Singh scored 16 points, while eight points from Hari Gurung helped Guinness beat Crimson 21-15. [break]Bridgewater registered a narrow 35-32 win over Caribbean with 14 points from Amrit Chhetri. Kathmandu Academy earned a walkover from Bern Hardt.



Nepali cyclists dominate

KATHMANDU: Nepali cyclists secured the top nine spots on the first day of the Fifth Yak Attack International Biking Series on Monday. Ajay Pandit secured the first position in the series that kicked off from Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu and finished at Nuwakot on the first day. He completed the 45-km distance in 1 hour 55 minutes 23 seconds, two seconds ahead of Rajkumar Shrestha.



Narayan Gopal Maharjan claimed the third spot clocking 2 hour 2 minutes 19 seconds. The 10-day race contested by 18 cyclists, including eight foreigners, will conclude at Tatopani, Manang. The second day of the race will finish at Dhading Besi, Nuwakot.
