Bishnu Poudel of NMB was adjudged the player-of-the-series for scoring 110 runs and seven wickets. Prakriti Poudel of Jyoti Bikash Bank was received the best female player award for her seven wickets.
Pun elected NTA president
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Ganesh Man Pun has been unanimously elected as the president of Nepal Triathlon Association on Saturday. The third general assembly also elected Deepak Koirala and Biplab Poudel as the vice president and Nilendra Raj Shrestha as general secretary. Lalit Lama and Satish Kumar Shrestha have been elected as secretary and treasurer respectively. The first meeting of the executive committee has decided to appoint former president Bishow Shankar Palikhe as the adviser to the association.
APF lifts volleyball title
DHANKUTA: Armed Police Force (APF) Club lifted the Eighth Ram Nawami International Invitational Cup Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. APF beat North East Railway Club of India 25-21, 25-19, 25-21. With the win, APF bagged Rs 51,000 while the Indian team pursed Rs 31,000. Five teams from Nepal and three teams from India had participated in the three-day tournament.
