Addressing a gathering organised in Narainapur today after inspecting the Laxmanpur Barrage constructed by the Indian side under the Indo-Nepal border area in Banke, he said this. Sovereignty rights of the people has been snatched due to the construction of the barrage, he claimed.
"The people of Banke are forced to face the problem of inundation every year due to the barrage constructed against the International standard", said Shrestha, adding, for this, the Indian side has to beg pardon to them.
Maoist is in favor of resolving the barrage problem through a friendly way, he further added.
