Sher Bahadur Karki, 55, had been receiving treatment for injuries he had sustained after being beaten by his sons Kiran Karki, 17 and Anil Karki, 14. He had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night.
The police have arrested his sons, who said they resorted to violence after repeated efforts to make their father quit alcohol did not bear fruit.
