KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Six central members of Nepal Students´ Union (NSU) on Tuesday resigned from their posts.

Central members Ramesh Rayamajhi, Bir Bahadur Bista, Yuvraj Pandey, Krishna Kumari Basnet, Rakesh Khatri and Sabin Tamang resigned from their posts demanding a general convention of the student body affiliated to the Nepali Congress.

Those submitting resignations from their posts have said the delay in holding a general convention had given rise to anarchy in the organization.

Dissidents in the NSU say there has not been a convention even one year after the two-year term of the current NSU body expired last year.
