The maths problem asks Singapore students to ascertain the birthday of a girl called Cheryl using the minimal hints that she gives to her friends, Bernard and Albert.
The examination question regarding Cheryl's birth date, later posted on Facebook by Singaporean TV presenter, has now left many people trying to solve the riddle. (Try solving the riddle first before you scroll down for the answer.)
