The District Administration Office said the curfew it clamped down in the town since 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. has been suspended.

"We are in a position to clamp the curfew again if the violence fares up. However, that will not be done if the situation remains calm," Chief District Officer, Keshavraj Acharya, said.

Devkota´s family members have not taken his body. Kins of the deceased have been calling for constituting a judicial investigation commission, taking action against the culprits, declaring Devkota as martyr and compensation.

They are demanding that the administration itself bring the body here from Kathmandu as it is the administration itself that sent the body to Kathmandu.

CDO Acharya said that 11 inmates have been taken into custody for investigation on the charge of their involvement in the assault on Devkota.
