Organizing a press conference at Reporters Club Nepal in the capital on Friday, Lohani said he will collect as many as 100, 000 signatures against the India blockade on Nepal and submit them to the Secretary General of the United Nations.
"I have decided to launch a signature campaign as a symbolic protest against the ongoing Indian blockade on Nepal after having seen the Nepali people being crippled by the fuel crisis caused by the blockade."
Lohani will collect up to 100,000 signatures at Shanti Batika in the capital on November 7. The signature campaign will begin from 7 am to 6 pm. If the number of signatures does not reach as planned the campaign will continue the next day as well.
Saying that he is not launching this campaign on behalf of any political parties but as a Nepali citizen, Lohani has called on all the patriotic Nepali people to be present at Shanti Batika on November 7 to make the campaign a huge success,
