Both the works are an outcome of the Docskool-KUart’s three months workshop conducted in 2010.
Each film has been made with a budget of $100. Briefing about his film, Dixit said, “Generation Zed explores the impact of media and consumerism on women.
I have used very uncomfortable shots and uncongenial sounds aimed at creating a different reaction from the audience.”
“Between the line”, which relays the story of an artist and his relationship with his child, tries to showcase Shrestha’s experience of working with children.
He says, “My film is an outcome of working with small children for the past six years as an art instructor. I’m often inspired by their sensitivity.”
Shrestha, a visual artist, hopes to communicate his artistic views through cinema in the future, while Dixit plans to attend film school and sees “Generation Zed” as a notable film in his portfolio.
Tickets are priced at Rs 30 each and the films are screened at 4:30 pm at Docskool Film Centre, Gaurighat.
