On the occasion of the festival, Chinese forest minister Jia Zhibang is arriving in Kathmandu on a four-day formal visit to Nepal this evening, leading a six-member Chinese delegation.
It is understood that the visiting Chinese minister will sign agreements on bilateral co-operation related to forestry and biodiversity conservation during his visit.
Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress has extended Lhosar wishes to the Sherpa and other communities in the mountain region, wishing peace, happiness and communal harmony in the country.
