Shah defeated Manavi Shah of The British School 8-2 in the final to add second goal to her overnight tally of one gold medal, which she had won in the U-8 age group. [break]
Her school mate Abhilasha Bista won the U-10 girls singles title defeating Saloni Tamang of Little Angels´ School (LA) 8-3 in the final.
Meanwhile, Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya of Shuvatara set up the U-10 boys´ singles title clash with Sulav Dhital of Nepal Police School (NPS) by winning their respective matches.
Bajracharya defeated Aditya Subedi of Euro International 8-3 en route to the final while Dhital saw off Aadit Subedi of St Xaviers´ 8-5 in the other semifinal.
In the U-12 boys´ singles category, Samrakshyak Bhushan Bajracharya defeated Deep Rana of LA 8-2 to secure a place in the semifinals. His younger brother Samyak also joined him in the semifinals, outlasting Sulav Dhital 9-8 in a thriller.
Likewise, Renjen Lama of NPS thrashed Swaraj KC of LA 8-1 and Dipesh Khatri of NPS beat his school mate Prashant Basnet 8-3 to fill the remaining semifinal berths.
Samrakshak also advanced to the final of the U-14 boys´ singles, where he will tackle Saksham Karki of Rato Bangala for the title. Earlier in the semifinals, Samrakshak hammered Pranav Khanal of St Xaviers´ 6-0, 6-1 while Karki defeated Pradeep Khadka of Dharmashtali Higher Secondary School, Pokhara 6-1, 6-3.
In the quarterfinals of the U-16 boys´ singles category, Karki edged out Arjan Dhungel of Shuvatara 8-4 to make it to the semifinals. Joining him in the semifinals were Rato Bangala duo Aavash Malla and Abhaya Gauchan and Abhishek Bastola of Pokhara.
Bastola defeated Govinda Pakhrin of Nepal Tennis Centre 8-2 while Malla beat Navin Gurung of Pokhara and Gauchan defeated Bivek Shrestha of Modern Indian School by the same scoreline.
In the girls´ section, Ira Rawat of Pennwood Academy secured a place in the semifinals with a 8-5 win over Utsavi Joshi of Rato Bangala. Likewise, Bibhuti Karki of St Xaviers´ registered a convincing 8-1 win over Alsa Regmi of Kasthamandap and Mayanka Rana defeated Khushi Pandey of The British School 8-4 to reach the semifinals.
Rana´s twin sister Mahika registered a hard fought victory over Karuna Gauchan of Rato Bangala, with a score of 9-8, to join the others in the semifinals.
In the U-14 girls´ doubles category, the pair of Cathy Mathema and Medhavi Giri of Ullens´ thrashed the pair of Merina Tamang and Anjali Nayak of LA 6-1, 6-0 while LA duo Ayusha Rai and Chiring Sherpa fought from the second set down to overcome their school mates Diwa Rana and Kala Tamang 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to make it to the semifinals.
In the boys´ doubles of the same age group, the pairs of Dewansh Agrawal and A Pant of Rato Bangala; Chandra Man Rokaya and Anish Bode of LA; Anjan Thing and Renjen Lama of NPS; and Dipesh Khatri and Prashant of NPS secured semifinal berths.
The matches were held at the court of host LA in Hattiban and Satdobato Tennis Complex, Lalitpur.
