Sapkota hearing postponed

KATHMANDU, June 12: The scheduled hearing of the case involving Minister for Information and Communications Agni Sapkota, at the Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday has been declined by Judge Damodar Sharma, who has refused to hear the case.



The joint bench comprising of Justice Damodar Sharma and Justice Gyanendra Bahadur Karki were expected to hear the case on Sunday morning.[break]



It is learned that Justice Sharma declined the hearing because he was involved in issuing an order in a separate case involving Sapkota. His logic was that hearing this case might invite conflict of interests.
