The event is being organized by Mobile Traders Association of Nepal (MTAN) and will last till April 3. In a bid to pull crowds, leading mobile dealers with their stalls in the expo have announced discount in the range of 10 to 20 percent. [break]
There are 52 stalls in the expo and the participating companies have put on display latest mobile sets and accessories. They have also made arrangements to help customers get more information about latest technology, mobile repair training centers, new software and other services.
“All mobile dealers who have been selling their products in the Nepali markets are present in the expo," said Purushottam Basnet, president of MTAN, elaborating that companies featuring their products in the expo include Samsung, Nokia, LG, Spice, Blackberry, iPhone, HTC, G-five, Motorola, Karbonn, Maxx, Olive and Lava, among others.

The aim of organizing this event is to inspire mobiles traders and make the general consumers aware about Android, Smartphones and iPhone technologies, said Deepak Malhotra, managing director of International Marketing Services (IMS), authorized distributors of Samsung mobile for Nepal.
He disclosed that the IMS is soon going to introduce 20 Smart Phone Cafés, from where consumers can get knowledge about different technical aspects of mobile phones.
Apart from handsets, mobile applications, software and laptops of different brands are also available in the stalls. Organizers expect 15,000 footfalls in the week long expo.
“Students appearing in this year´s SLC exams can avail free entry if they bring photocopy of their admit card,” said C.N Upadhyay, director of Zoom event management, the organizer. He further added that other visitors will have to pay an entrance fee of Rs 50 and students in general will get 50 percent discount.
