PM to address the nation at 6 pm
KATHMANDU, Nov 22: An emergency meeting between the ruling coalition partners UCPN (Maoist) and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has got underway at the prime minister´s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday.
The meeting, which is the first between the ruling partners after unveiling the budget Tuesday, has been called to chart out their future course of action amidst intense objection from the opposition parties over the government bringing the new budget and calling fresh elections. [break]
The Maoists are set to hold a meeting with Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA) at 2 pm later today, informed Bishwadeep Pandey, the PM´s aide. According to Pandey, PM Baburam Bhattarai is also set to address the nation at 6 this evening.
The cabinet meet is scheduled to take place before PM´s address at 4 this afternoon.
