KATHMANDU, March 6: According to the initial results of the House of Representatives election held on Thursday, candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are leading in several constituencies.
Based on preliminary results, RSP candidates are leading in most constituencies of Kathmandu. Ranju Neupane is leading from Kathmandu Constituency-1 with 9,078 votes, while Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is leading from Kathmandu Constituency-8 with 7,617 votes, and Pradip Bista is leading from Kathmandu Constituency-10 with 6,042 votes.
Election update: RSP leading in 70 constituencies
Similarly, Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu-5, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7, and Shisir Khanal in Kathmandu-6 are also maintaining leads.
Outside Kathmandu, RSP candidates are also leading in several constituencies. Rabi Lamichhane is leading from Chitwan Constituency-2, while Sobita Gautam is leading in Chitwan Constituency-3, Swarnim Wagle in Tanahun Constituency-1, and Toshima Karki in Lalitpur Constituency-3, among others.
Final results are yet to be announced as vote counting is still ongoing across the country.
