RPP-N chairman stresses on revival of monarchy

Kathmandu June 20: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N) Kamal Thapa has stressed on revival of monarchy through national consensus, claiming that the country desires ‘kingship’.



He claimed that having monarchy is good for the country. “I urge all major parties to be serious for the well-being of the country” Thapa said in Dang addressing at a press conference organized by the Reporters Club Nepal. [break]



“Democracy with monarchy is necessary for the well-being of the country. Let us revive the monarchy through national consensus,” Thapa said adding that, the support of monarchy is increasing in these days proving that the country actually wants it.



“Let us go after the public call to know whether the people want monarchy. If not so, the people will be forced to come out on the street, sooner or later,” the pro-royalist leader said.
