According to the information provided by the Reserve Office, the counting will start from Malubela Post Area of Shuklaphanta this morning.Chief Conservation Officer of the Shuklaphanta Reserve Office, Bed Kumar Dhakal said some eight one-horned rhinos were found in the Reserve last year.
"We would complete the counting within maximum 10 days", Dhakal said, adding that a team of local employees of the Reserve would be mobilized for the purpose.
The National Nature Conservation Trust, World Wildlife Fund and Terai Arc Landscape Programme have joined hands for the rhino census, said the Reserve office sources.
The rhino counting has been taking place in Nepal in every four years. RSS
