Relief support to freeze

DANG, May 19: Relief support worth Rs 1,125,000 allocated to the conflict affected widows is going to freeze.



The money was received by Dang District Development Committee from the government this year.[break]



According to DDC’s Information Officer Krishna KC, each victim can get Rs 25,000 in relief.



The support was for 45 people but only two people have received it till now.



DDC’s Chief Accountant Ramesh Gautam said the relief support should be distributed by July 4 but nobody has shown interest in it yet. Gautam said Rs 400,000 froze last year in Rukum district out of Rs 4.5 million.



KC said they will provide relief to the victims on the recommendation of VDC, municipality and District Administration Office.



Those people who had received Rs 100,000 from the government can also receive this relief amount.
