Getting there

Gokarna Forest Resort is located at the northwest limits of Kathmandu. You can find public transportation, especially minibuses, from the Old Bus Park near Ratna Park in Kathmandu to the main gate of the resort. There are sections of graveled roads along the way that may provide a bumpy ride but once you are inside the premises of the resort, the quite tedious commute will prove to have been worthwhile.

You can also take private vehicles to get to the resort. Since you will need to travel a good distance to reach the hotel area from the main gate, you can skip the walking bit if you decide on traveling in a private vehicle.
